Next, we head to Tirta Empul Temple, a sacred holy spring where Balinese Hindus have come for centuries to bathe in purifying waters — join a traditional melukat ritual for an experience that's equal parts adventure and soul-cleansing. Cap off the day with a lunch overlooking Mount Batur volcano in Kintamani, feasting on Balinese specialties while gazing across the crater rim at one of the island's most dramatic landscapes.

Take it easy today — or don't! Spend the day soaking up Ubud's slower pace, or opt for an adrenaline-charged white water rafting expedition down the Ayung River, crashing through Class II–III rapids as you carve through a dramatic jungle gorge lined with waterfalls and towering cliffs. Trade the jungle for turquoise water as we speedboat across to Gili Trawangan, a tiny car-free island ringed by white sand and coral reef.
